Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

              Nelson Mandela

In this modern era, technology impacts every sector of life. It also influences education.

The Internet is a revolutionary invention of the 20th century. It has completely transformed living standards. People can now communicate a million miles away without any hindrance. The Internet has shortened distances and made our world a global village.

The Internet has also affected education. Online education has become popular and is attained through computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, etc.

Online education is a very convenient sort of education. It saves the precious time of students as it doesn’t involve any traveling. Students can take education from the ease of their home. It is also a pocket-friendly option for those who cannot afford physical classes.

This form of education comes with other benefits as well. It gives liberty to a student to choose the schedule and brings comfort to life. Where the one-on-one teaching method is used, students feel more connected with teachers. It makes them self-dependent.

Online education assures the continuation of studies without any missed classes due to physical reasons including sickness, riots, rain, etc.

In Pakistan, it is possible to acquire online education in different fields. The government and private sectors offer certificate programs to doctoral programs. A few examples are Virtual University, Digiskills platform, etc. From a primary teacher to a Univesity graduate, everyone can find help online.

Because of online education, numerous new courses have been introduced in higher education. It has become one of the biggest reasons for career growth. It uplifts the scale by providing a balance between job and degree.

In online education, classes are conducted in the form of live or recorded lectures, animations, audio recordings, videos, images, etc.

Online education became more famous during the covid-19 pandemic. Schools that provide physical education had to take the help of online teaching due to the lockdowns. It kept the students in contact with their institutes.

Mostly, all of these benefits are limited to those who are privileged. Pakistan is an underdeveloped nation. The resources are limited. Only big cities get the advantages of online education. On the other hand, small cities and villages remain unfortunate. Lack of technology is their significant drawback.

Online education is an excellent source of education. Government should take further steps to provide this convenient education to those who are underprivileged. It can play a vital role in the prosperity of a country. If the government takes immediate and proper measures to spread it in the whole country, it will brighten the future. Online education in Pakistan can become a game changer in providing quality education to remote areas.

Online education is like a rising tide, it's going to lift all boats.
